Naheed Akhtar – Trainee Solicitor
Naheed previously worked for ABM Solicitors on a part-time basis as a paralegal and gained knowledge in Immigration matters, alongside civil litigation, wills, and probate. She thereafter joined Duncan Lewis Solicitors and is accredited through the Law Society Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS) as a Senior Level 2 caseworker.
Naheed studied Law at London Metropolitan University and completed her post-graduate Diploma in legal practice at the College of Law, Guilford branch in 2007 with a commendation.
Naheed was OISC Level 2 accredited and joined Chatham Chambers in October 2016 as an Immigration Adviser and commenced her training contract in March 2017. She has specialised experience in practicing European Union Law and has successfully dealt with many applications for family permits, residency, and permanent residency. She has also dealt with many applications for naturalisation, entry clearance applications, visa extensions and applications after long continuous residence.
Naheed speaks Urdu and Punjabi fluently and enjoys socialising, travelling and learning about other cultures and backgrounds.
