Shamin Zafar LL.B, GCILEX – Paralegal
Shamin initially decided she wished to focus on her family, and thus did not undertake a position in the legal sector until after having her children. She volunteered for many organisations within her community; Reading Refugee Support Group being one of them.
Shamin graduated with a LL.B hons from London Guildhall University as a mature student. Whilst working part time, she embarked onto the Graduate Fast Track diploma, with Cilex Law school. She successfully completed the academic studies in 2016. She will become a Fellow with Institute of Chartered Legal Executives in 2017 in conveyancing.
Shamin decided to pursue her work in the immigration department and started volunteering at Chatham Chambers Solicitors. In 2016 she joined Chatham Chambers as a permanent member of staff and is now a paralegal who works on cases related to immigration and residential property.
Shamin enjoys keeping fit and organising events. If she has spare time with her busy schedule she also likes to volunteer in community projects.
