Orders for shared care can be unsophisticated and over-simplistic (High Court)

In F v L [2017] EWHC 1377 (Fam), Russell J allowed an appeal against a decision refusing the mother’s relocation application and granting the father’s cross-application for shared care. She noted that decisions to make orders for shared care were taken too often as an attempt to adhere to the presumption of parental involvement under section 2A of the Children Act 1989.
